Molly was born and raised in Pennsylvania. Her first professional life at the age of thirteen in Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. The following year she was cast as Little Red Ridinghood in the Arden Theater s production of Into the Woods for which she was nominated for the Barrymore Award. In 2002, she played the same role as Into the Woods in Broadway when she was 15 and received a Drama League Award nomination. Molly played the role in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof (2004). She was a student at Princeton University as a Triangle Club member and graduated with a B.A. After that, she went to Princeton University where she was a part of the Triangle Club and earned a Bachelor's degree in the year 2008. At this time, Wendy Greenhut made her Disney College Road Trip debut. Molly was able to begin her professional career after graduation with Off-Broadway productions such as End Days and The Wonderful Maladys on HBO Pilot. Molly was in a variety of regional productions, including The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, at Barrington Stage Company, North Shore Music Theatre and Westport Country Playhouse's 2010 show The Diary of Anne Frank. She played Anne.
